 | | 1. Source The ideas for Manifold's portfolio products are generated both internally (Manifold employees) and externally, through a variety of sources. External ideas can come through "intermediate" sources (Technology Transfer Offices, Entrepreneur networks, Patent Attorneys, Investors, etc.) as well as the original inventors/holders of the intellectual property (e.g. individuals, corporations, startups, universities, etc).
Once Manifold and an external invention source have decided to partner on a new product or technology, a business arrangement is negotiated which reflects the maturity of the technology, the investment required and the overall program risk. Thereafter, Manifold is responsible for all project management, financing and resources. Depending on the nature of the idea and the source, Manifold may require ongoing participation from the inventor. See Submissions to learn more about partnering with Manifold. | |
